Joining with Dayle for her lovely Simple Pleasures party at http://alittleofthisandthat2.blogspot.com/

My home is my haven and I love decorating it in an eclectic mix of cottage and primitive styles. I enjoy gardening and dabbling in painting, doll-making and needlework. My good husband is the patient genius who builds wooden projects for me to paint and play with. My life is pretty simple, quiet and happy. I hope you enjoy your visit to "Angel Wings & Apron Strings."
Trish, I just think your decorating taste is SO lovely! I love mismatched teacups and saucers too! I don't have a good way to display them, or else I'd start collecting! :-) Thanks for sharing some beauty with us!
ReplyDeleteVery true & so beautiful!

I love them,too.

I'm with you. Blue and white is a wonderful combination, and it really does make you feel peaceful. As for teacups matching saucers, how much more interesting it is if they don't. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for joining us today.
Not only is blue and white one of my very favorite patterns, but I am also a tea cup and saucer lover. I don't have a huge collection of them, but whenever I see them I just have to stop and admire.
ReplyDeleteLove that you mix and match.
Very beautiful Trish, I have the same passion for china, and have many mis matched pieces and love the charm of it. The way you have displayed yours is so pretty.
ReplyDeleteWhat is it with us girls and our china? Could it be all of those make believe tea parties we had as girls. When I go shopping I always begin or end up in the china dept.lol.
Thanks for sharing and thank you for visiting and for taking the time to leave such a sweet comment.
Blessings,
Sue
Beautiful...makes me want to come over to your house for a cup of tea! Thanks for stopping by my place and leaving your kind comment.

Kind of like real marriages -- sometimes seemingly "mis-matched" but pleasing nonetheless!
ReplyDeleteOh, how lovely! I just love blue and white china. And I am a fan of the mismatched look myself. :) I'm visiting from the Simple Pleasures party. Stop by if you get a chance.
ReplyDeleteI love them too! I have a few pieces in my bedroom. Enjoyed looking.
ReplyDeleteLove the picture and the china ...thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteTrish,
ReplyDeleteI like blue china as well, although I don't currently own any.
I like what you had to say about your mis-matched china being "odd couples." I thought that you made a good analogy between the china and real-life married couples.
Blessings,
-Lady Rose
Your blue and white plates and mismatched china are simply fantastic! Thanks for sharing... dee dee
ReplyDeleteTrish - thanks for popping over and posting on my blog also! :-) I'll keep posting recipes as we get closer to Christmas, don't worry! :-) And I'd love to hear if you give it a try! Thanks again for stopping by! :-)
ReplyDeleteDear Trish,
ReplyDeleteI love how you used your blue and white china to decorate your wall! It looks lovely.

What a great idea! I'm not sure where you live, Trish, but there's a quaint, (very "chi-chi") restaurant in Central Florida that's known for their mis-matched china and cutlery.
ReplyDeleteNothing wrong with mis-matched pieces. That makes them unique. :) Your pieces are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment.
ReplyDeleteI love blue and white dishes too. I have a whole set of antique blue and white transferware china (packed away right now.) Blue and white is just classic. It works with everything. Your pieces are beautiful.
I also love blue and white china and love collecting old pieces. My problem is I have nowhere to display them ( I should early next year when we get shelving built into the walk). The current shelfs are no good as Ruby the cat likes to walk along tops of shelves! As for flowers in vases, not at the moment, Ruby takes them out and covers the floor in flower petals.
ReplyDeleteOh, I adore china pieces as well! Blue Willow are my favorite. Well, I like Royal Albert as well. Thank you for stopping by my blog and visiting me. I pray you have a wonderful weekend!

Hi Trish,
ReplyDeleteWOW! You have great taste, and clearly a natural talent for display, I am so impressed also with the floral display. Well, I hope you post Christmas pictures, because I'm sure you decorate beautifully.
God bless you,
Michele Katherine
This was a perfectly lovely post Trish! Made in China, I laughed at that... very clever xoxo
ReplyDeleteI love china too. Your display of them is just lovely!
