Hello dear friends,
it's a cold Aussie, autumn day today and I confess to feeling a little lazy!
When the skies over town are like this..
The temptation to just sit in front of this...
is mighty hard to resist :-)
Never-the-less..housework awaits!
So on with my list of homeloving goals for the coming week:
1. Looks like I'll be pulling out more cold weather clothing, as the days are getting a lot brisker and the wind sharper.
2. We were gifted with a steam cleaner, and I may try to use it on some carpets before the season becomes too damp for them to dry quickly.
3. I'll begin re-arranging the bedrooms again - this time in expectation of our son's visit next month :-)
4. The cooking of hearty stews and soups to warm our bones will certainly be on the agenda!
5. In all this..I will seek to keep my heart firmly centred on Christ as we journey towards Jerusalem together.
Wherever you are today..I hope you are warm and content and feeling the joy of being alive in God's glorious world!
grace & peace to you..Trish
turning our Hearts for Home again with Gae, on a chilly autumn day.
Trish,
ReplyDeleteI like to read thru your to-do list. It is inspiring! I do love autumn! I like the coziness and smells of that season!
We are finally having longer days - oh so nice to see day light after 7pm. So funny to have you getting ready for the cool weather while we are beginning to have the spring smells and blooms appear!
Have a lovely day!
Thank you Keri :-)
ReplyDeleteYes, it does seem odd to be so 'opposite' - but I think it's all part of God's love for diversity :-D
Have a beautiful day, yourself!
Trish
I loved this post! I am loving spring here, but it was 90 today, and I'm a winter girl. I'm trying to bloom where I'm planted, but I sure do long for cold nights and fireplaces! :-) Thanks for letting me experience both a beautiful spring day and a lovely fall/winter scene in one day!
ReplyDeleteSuch a warm and loving post, Trish, Thank you for sharing.

Dear Trish,
ReplyDeleteWe too have finally again some cooler weather and rain again. I too love this season, as you know and am looking forward to many moments in front of the fire with my crafts.
Enjoy your homemaking adventures this week
God Bless
Gae
What a cozy list:) Rainy seasons are the perfect time for snuggling up in our nests with our loved one's. Have a blessed week!

Dear Trish,
ReplyDeleteI simply love this post! It is funny, whenever I read your blog, that I sometimes have difficulty getting my mind wrapped around the concept that your seasons are exactly opposite of ours! It feels a bit like "autumn" today here though...the wind is blowing a chilly breeze...and our woodstove it going...what a peaceful feeling to sit by it with a cup of tea.
Our Lord is so good...He gives us such simple comforts each and every day!
Have a blessed day,
Laura
It is so wonderful to see your roaring fire dear one. Here, I am enjoying the spring bursting with colors, but I do so enjoy remembering you in your beautiful island, and knowing that you are getting ready for winter.
ReplyDeleteHow amazing Our Lord created everything to keep us loving His creation more and more.
In His love,
Mrs. M.
Trish,
ReplyDeleteDear Sister, you are not the only one feeling "lazy" these days.
As the weather gets warmer over in my part of the world, all I want to do is take walks around Suburbia Land and take miscellaneous photographs of just "things."
It's so hard to do housework when the days are so lovely outside. Sigh!
Blessings,
-L. Rose
