A perfectly sculpted orb suspended in a coiled silver ring.
Mmmm..that's my breakfast!
Simplicity and pure pleasure.
Whatever way they come - brown white soft hard hot or cold.
I enjoy my boiled eggs.
The Woodman and I will be getting some chooks when the weather warms up in a couple of months time (it's still winter here in Australia) and we're looking forward to having fresh organic eggs to collect from our own backyard!
I'm slowing down with Dayle today..
and thanking the Lord for the simple pleasure of a nicely boiled egg.
Yumm! They are God's greatest gifts to us...eggs :)

Hmmmm I feel a bit dense right now. What is a chook? Is that a chicken? If so neat-o. I am praying fervently that we can get a chicken coop/goat barn made next year. [o=
ReplyDeleteI have to say that eggs are soooo yummy and to have them so fresh is amazing. Was this cooked on your wood burning stove?

This is wonderful Simple Pleasures post, Trish. And your photos are so pretty. I love eggs, anyway you fix them, and they are such great sources of protein.
ReplyDeleteSimple ...but yummy ...glad we can be back to share our pleasures
ReplyDeleteThat's exactly what I had yesterday morning. Sometimes, that simple boiled egg just hits the spot.
ReplyDeleteI love that coiled thingie!
Eggs are a wonderful package. We had curried egg for dinner last night using 16 hard boiled eggs to feed us all. How wonderful it will be to have your own chooks and fresh organic eggs. Our family kept chooks on the farm as I grew up.
ReplyDeleteThat is so good, Trish. I love the simplicity of your photo, yet it is full of meaning. Chooks are wonderful to have. I love their sounds of contentment. Mave
ReplyDeleteMy parents have chickens now. It's great getting fresh eggs from them. Nice simple pleasure.
ReplyDeleteA lovely photo ... eggs are such a simple shape but so beautiful. White, brown cream, you will enjoy your chooks when they come. They are so proud when they lay an egg. I can remember collecting eggs when I was a teenager and they would still be warm.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen an egg set inside a coil such as yours. You are quite the fancy lady to eat your hard-boiled eggs in this manner. :)
ReplyDeleteHow fun! Can't wait to meet your new members of your family once you get them! :o) Love the pictures! There is such an artistic sense from the form of an egg. :o)
