Heart & Home link-up..Blue stars

Spring has begun it's early arrival in our neck of the woods at last!
Bright yellow daffodils and creamy jonquils are popping up all over the gardens.

Camellias are adding welcome pockets of colour amidst the green winter bushes.

And my "blue star flowers" (Ipheion) are filling up the round garden bed
and swallowing the birdbath in their enthusiasm to put on a show.

Time to bring out a favourite old German setting which sings of Spring to me!
I fill my cup with peppermint tea and dream of reading love poetry
whilst seated in a field of the sweetest English bluebells..
and suddenly my little patch of stars shine brighter still!

  3. Your pictures are glorious! So pretty! So neat to see spring as we are in our hottest part of summer with the grass dying, etc! I love those blue flowers, I always wanted to plant them...maybe seeing yours will remind me to buy some bulbs in our fall. love, andrea

  6. Your spring flowers in your garden look lovely. It's still summer in my neck of the woods, and will be warm for at least another month and a half before autumn comes (if it comes, for around here, it usually goes from summer to winter - skipping autumn, ugh!).

I love your cup and saucer set. It's very pretty, and yes, it does remind one of spring. :)
