I can't tell you exactly how long ago it began,
but for decades I've had a love for blue and white china.
It has a special place in my heart because it always looks fresh and bright
and is so cheerful and pleasing to the eye.
I thought I'd share a few of my everyday pieces that I use to set a cheery table.
Some are just very inexpensive thrift shop finds while others are sentimental and precious gifts or have some antique value - they all make me smile and feel happy and that's what matters most to me.
This antique platter is big favourite of mine.
I found it in a second-hand shop and fell in love with it!
Just like me.. it has seen better days and is a bit crazed and cracked, lol!
I don't mind a bit. I'm not worried about it's imperfections, I just see it's beauty.
But it is rather huge!
And not very easy to store away due to it's great size, so I keep it out on a table where I get to enjoy it's pretty and pleasant company every day :-)
Do you like blue and white china, too?
I'm linking to Sandi for her special "What's in your Cupboard" party today.

Trish, you know me,can't resist blue and white china. I have the very same little pin dish with the saying on it. I love your platter and really everything. xx
ReplyDeleteHello dear Trish,
ReplyDeleteYour blue and white china is gorgeous!
As much as I love it, I started collecting red and white years ago because everyone else was collecting the blue. And after raising three boys and being surrounded by blue, I needed a change in decor. Therefore the red/pink and white china patterns started to make their way into my home.
Your platter really is lovely and would be wonderful just sitting out to enjoy every day.
I love the red and white set that I see in the background there!
Thank you for stopping by and joining my party. It's always a joy to to have you, my friend.
Blessings,
Sandi
Very nice collection of blue and white china, especially the platter.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading your post; everything looks so beautiful! I just love the platter :) Have a wonderful day!

Hi Trish,
ReplyDeleteI think everyone likes blue and white china, I like the tea caddy with the teapot for a lid handle I never seen one like it anywhere.
Love Merle.....
Your blue and white china collection is simply wonderful! I love blue and white china too, though I don't own one single piece of it, ugh! I really like that platter. It doesn't look so huge in the photograph.
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you! :)
Hi Trish... I love you collection of blue and white china. Blue and White ware always looks fresh ......reminds me of Spring...

I love the blue and white china. I don't actually have any in my collection but have been on the look out for anything I might find along the way. Thanks for sharing your beautiful dishes with us!
ReplyDeleteYour blue and white china is lovely. With all my pretty cups and saucers, I have nothing blue and white and there was a reason for that. Back in the nineties we built a house and everything was blue and white, walls, rugs, curtains, and dishes. I was sick of blue for quite a while after we moved but looking at your pretty dishes, I think I will start scoping out Goodwill for some blue and white of my own! Have a wonderful weekend. Anita
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post, Trish. I just love blue and white china. I have a teapot and a few vases ~ I would love to have a whole set of blue and white dishes for everyday. :-)
ReplyDeleteGod bless and have a nice weekend!
Love,
Anne
