We've been enjoying more lovely Spring weather here this past week.
Most of the fruit trees have come out in full bloom and have filled the gardens with their wonderful fragrance and colour.
It's a nice time for eating family meals outdoors and just letting the days drift by like the soft clouds above us.
Hubby fired up his home-made pizza oven and has been learning how to "drive" it.
It is so efficient, hot and fast that as soon as he had delivered the first pizza to our table and cut it -the second one he replaced it with was already done "to a crisp"!! lol!
At just 2 minutes per pizza, I suggested that he had serendipitously found us a new Fast-Food family business :-D
Would you care for one of our BBQ brownie cakes?
Those healthy toppings of sausages, fried eggs and shish-kababs are very good for you..hehe (wink)!
Why is it that I can never go to Bunnings without bringing something extra home with me?
I went there on Saturday to buy a small punnet of petunias and left with a wisteria too!
Can't wait to see how it pretty it will be when it grows up and over our white pergola.
It passes too soon...sigh.
You wait and wait for ages for the vibrant Spring blossoms appear..and suddenly they arrive in an explosion of delightful exhuberance and then...poof!!
These pretty ornamental fruit trees leading up the hilltop to our house have already lost their flowers, and today they are blanketed in deep wine hued leaves.
There are some things we just can't slow down or change no matter how much we'd like to.
Springtime makes me see that it's much better to relax and try to appreciate each precious moment as it comes...and just be grateful that it ever happened at all :-)
"As long as the earth remains,
there will be springtime and harvest."
Genesis 8:22
Wow they do have some flowers just a blanket of pink and that pizza oven it's really fast, I love home made pizza, I had a one from pizza hut the other day and they are not as good.
ReplyDeleteMerle......
My,your trees are so beautiful in bloom. We in the South are also enjoying the Spring weather with lots of rain overnight,so everything is jumping out of the ground. Lovely time of year and nothing nicer than eating out of doors. I think the pizza was a little overdone. LOL
ReplyDeleteYour blossoms are just so lovely. We are heading for Autumn now, with leaves falling....no blossoms here!
ReplyDeleteThe drive up to your house is just beautiful!! The beautiful white and pink trees are just delightful ~ a truly beautiful spring you're having there!
ReplyDeleteLOL ~ I think the pizza oven may be a little too hot, but I'm sure he'll get the hang of it soon, and you'll have great pizza cooked outside. :-)
Enjoy your weekend!
Blessings,
Anne♥
Oh those trees are glorious! And I just love your brownies - how cute! Thank you for sharing with us and thank you, sweet Trish, for your precious comment on my blog. Hugs and blessing to you!
ReplyDeleteHi Trish....I've been off line for a while now...I showed your post to Mum and Gwen but when I went to comment the computer refused to publish.
ReplyDeleteIt's taken until 11.30 last night to be able to communicate again..have no idea what the problem was.....
OK...
Gwen and I got a giggle at the pizza...but Mum liked the blue colour and thought it looked great..no accounting for taste..lol
Your blossom trees are gorgeous.
Great to see you all enjoying a meal together...
Hugs and Blessings...

ReplyDeletelove the pizza pics and the picture of you all relaxing in the back yard...can't wait to see the wisteria in bloom over the pergola... trying to talk Neil into letting me have one...
big hugs.

Oh my goodness... a bit too crisp :D But the beauty that is surrounding you at this moment Trish...precious! m.
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely trees, Trish. I hope you are well and enjoying your spring. Fall is coming here--my favorite ♥
ReplyDeleteDear Trish - So delightful to take some time and see what you're up to down under - and hoping all is well with you and yours. I've been on sabbatical and have emerged with some big changes in my career path - beginning with a Blogger to WordPress migration - which makes me migraine prone for the techno overload - and a complete upgrade in all my computer and software equipment. Much needed due to my self-publishing efforts and Etsy enterprises - but the learning curve is a killer. I hope to get back to some leisurely blog reading later this month - once I'm caught up - I hope! The new blogging platform has been difficult for me, though I know it will be a better choice for the long run.
ReplyDeleteYour spring looks inviting - all my flowers are dying in our front garden as fall is upon us here in the states. I always enjoy your posts with glimpses of opposite seasons - warmth and sunshine when we're buried in snow - LOL.
Anyway - blessings to you, milady!
Joy!
