Happy April, dear friends!
We are still having beautiful sunny days here which means..
the garden is continuing to push out flowers and is looking quite full so far this Autumn.
The long awaited Black-Eyed-Susans (Rudbekia) opened up this week, making a lovely bright and cheerful spot at the back fence!
This is my sweet Jane McGrath..a pretty little rose which is named after the wife of one of our leading cricketers. Sadly, Jane died from cancer and part of the proceeds from sales of this gorgeous rose goes to help fund cancer research.
Our birdbath is currently almost overwhelmed by 3 types of blue Salvia!
The lovely Jane again.
Oh my! Were we glad to finally get some good rain after the long Summer heatwave!
I think the little Japanese rock garden always looks so happy, cool and restful when drenched from an afternoon storm :-)
Various groundcovers have "taken off" with our extra rain and cooler temps.
Here a soft pink Nemesia and lilac/white Alyssum mingle together to spread their gentle flowers across the birdbath path.
We harvested nectrines, pears and peaches and finally got around to painting the lattice arbor!
I think it looks much nicer now..but I always feel white lattice is perfect in a cottage garden.
Do you agree...?
blessings..Trish xx
Your garden is so pretty,Trish. I love your Jane Mc Grath rose and the sweet little statue beneath. Isn't it lovely to have some cooler weather and a little rain. x
ReplyDeleteIt is looking lovely, but it does seem strange to be reading about Autumn, when we are just heading into Spring!
