Spring has awoken!

I love Spring!
It's my very favourite season..so full of hope and new things to see in the garden.
I love the colours of daffodils and the frangrance of jonquils and hyacynths. The delicate pink blossoms on the fruit trees and the hum of happy bees visiting them.
I love seeing the pretty little wrens and finches returning to their favourite spots around the yard..and hearing the blackbird "sing the sun up..and down" each day. The magpies call from the trees and start to gather supplies for their nests and butterflies begin to appear on the flowering bushes.
The air is warmer..the days are calmer..and all beings begin to stretch out in the sun and breathe deeper.
We take up residence again on the bench under the grape arbor and drink our tea leisurely..gratefully..so glad to be outdoors amidst the glory of God's new growth around us.
Spring..has awoken in the garden again.. and in my soul.

  1. Spring in your garden is a so pretty with all its colorful flowers. We do not have magpies here but I have read a little about them in a British children's book "Postman Pat" - how they like to collect shiny bits. It's a joy to be sleeping with the bedroom window open, to fall asleep to the crickets and owls here in Pennsylvania where autumn has come.
