What a blessing is water to a parched countryside...like the refreshing of the Holy Spirit to a dry soul...heavensent LIFE and sweet joy!After 10 years of drought in our area of Australia, we are rejoicing to see the dams filling up in the orchards and on the farms at long last. Our town water supply is a huge man-made lake, and today it was overflowing the spillway for the first time in nearly five years! Locals came out in droves to enjoy the welcome scenes, and many hoped to drive to the snowy top of the mountain but the road was so wet it was closed. Praise God for the gift of water!!
O God, You are my God, for You I long;
For You my soul is thirsting.
My body pines for You Like a dry, weary land without water.
So I gaze upon You in Your sanctuary,
To see Your strength and Your glory.
For Your love is better than life,
My lips will speak Your praise.
So I will bless You all of my life,
In Your Name I will lift up my hands.
