Simply Sweet #2

Tea! Don't you just love it?
We sure do!
And coffee..and hot chocolate..or iced coffee..or iced chocolate.
As well as herbal and fruit teas..also taken hot or cold!
We drink tea morning, noon and night and need an easily accessible cupboard and bench space for housing the cups and tea cannisters etc.
So we moved the hardly-ever-used microwave oven out of it's spot in our kitchen,
and re-dedicated the small space to tea making instead,
and now we have an area just right for an 'all seasons' drinks station!

The kettle, teapot, and juicer now have residence in the nook beside the pantry.
This has made it convenient for one person (such as hubby!) to be able to make us a pot of tea whilst another (usually me!) is cooking at the stove :-)
One simple move.. for such sweet results!
I recommend keeping your tea/coffee/juice things altogether and close at hand.
I've found it can help to maintain a sense of order and peace in an area which can be rather too chaotic at times.
And if you're anything like me - whatever simple ideas help to keep the kitchen nice and calm is sorely needed - and gladly appreciated!
So tell me..have you assigned a special spot like this in your kitchen?

  1. What a nice spot you have there! That's a great idea ~ have to give it some thought.:-)

  2. We do something similar in our kitchen. The kettle sits on a tray on the worktop, and above it is the cupboard for mugs and packs of tea and coffee. It's such an easy way!

  3. I am looking forward to sharing a cuppa with you one day soon my dear friend.
I am glad you could get rid of your microwave, I wish my family didn't use ours so much.
I love the changes you have made to your blog, very feminine indeed.
    Love to you

  4. Oh yes I do! Green tea, chocolate tea, Earl Grey, Lady Rose tea...my list is endless. It all depends on the mood of the day.

I am returning to tea now, since it seems to calm me more than coffee does. Now I have an excuse to use all those lovely teacups I have collected which, sadly, I have to part with soon :(

    Be blessed my friend,

    m.

  7. Hello Trish,
Oh yes, I enjoy my tea and lots of it! I drink herbal teas mainly and the odd cup of coffee too. That's a wonderful idea you have shared. Thanks for hosting and have a delightful day, my friend.

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  8. I surely do love tea! Lately my favorites have been Pau D'arco and Sleepytime Green Lemon Jasmine Tea. What a grand idea of replacing your microwave with that wonderful beverage center. I'm inspired...off for a cup of tea.

  9. Hello Trish,
Love your Drinks Cupboard. I looks fabulous and as you say, it still lets you do other things in the kitchen while it's being used.Clever.

  10. Dear Trish,
There is nothing sweeter than to sit down with those we love and have a 'cuppa' together. Even though I drink coffee or milo I love to use my tea cups with the girls. Having a tea party together is always fun
God Bless dear friend, I am hoping to be able to comment more again

  13. What a perfectly lovely corner that is. I use to have a more defined tea corner than I do now. I use to have a electric tea kettle and had it all set up in a corner. But my kettle broke and I use a kettle on my stove now. Hmmm I will have to think about this and see if I can re-organize a corner again. [o=

  14. Hi Trish,

You have such a great collection of tea. Makes me want to make a cup right now. Kind of chilly in my sun room with the cold wind blowing outside.

  15. Greetings, Milady! Lovely teatime today - with great smells in my kitchen. Hope you've been enjoying the same in your "tea corner" - though my tea corner is expanding . . .
    Joy!

  17. I'm the only one in my family who really appreciates tea, but I have 2 full shelves in a small cupboard devoted to many yummy and medicinal herbal varieties. Very soothing!
Thanks for resuming LACE & God bless!
