Yesterday was my birthday!!
My wonderful family wanted to take me out to dinner, but I opted to stay home and keep warm by the fire (it's freezing here in Oz!).
So we had a very simple afternoon tea together and just relaxed and chatted away into the evening.
I am actually trying to be good and lose some weight at the moment - but how could I resist my favourite dessert on my special day, lol?!
I was so happy to have the family with me and we were all so comfortably gathered around the woodfire that come nightfall no-none wanted to go home, so my darling hubby went and bought us all KFC for dinner :-)
And to top it all off, as the sun prepared to set on what had been a grey drizzly day, it highlighted the trees with a brilliant fire-y glow and a glorious rainbow came to join the party!
My loving family around me... my favourite sweet... and the beauty of God at my window.
I simply couldn't have asked for a lovelier birthday!

Happy Birthday, Trish! What a lovely day you DID have - and the sky show the Lord blessed you with - He was smiling His goodness upon you! I've linked in my tea post - which is also a recap of the women's conference I was at this weekend - seeking to keep our home priorities straight and be the wives and mothers - and daughters of the King - we are called to be! It was so grand!
