What does one do to pass the time when stuck in a freak Spring snowstorm?
One goes Antique shopping of course!
We were so pleased to be able to spend some time in this store the other day, while we waited for the snow to be cleared off the road outside.
It was warm and dry and very relaxing after our nerve-wracking trek to the top of the mountains.
It's a very cramped and crowded shop filled with all sorts of collectibles to suit many different tastes.
I found a tea-trolley with some lovely red transferware from Wedgewood!
A cheery little patch of blue and white was tucked away on a low shelf.
Was I tempted to take something home with me?
Oh yeah! I quite fancied this lovely pitcher!
Around the corner was a gleaming table of bright silverware for those who love polishing :-)
And china cabinets with some delicate cups and pretty chintz pieces squeezed between overflowing bookcases.
Speaking of delicate - this is my great-great nephew Tobey!
He is 4 months old, and one of the highlights of making it to our family party was that I got to spend time feeding and nursing him while he slept that afternoon.
Don't you love that cheeky little tongue, lol!
And speaking of cheeky - this is my 95yr old mother trying to keep hers under control!
No, no - she isn't really, haha!
We have a family tradition of snapping a yearly photo of these gorgeous young ladies affectionately known as "the three wise monkeys", lol!
Monkeys, they aren't - but they are certainly very wise and always ready for a good giggle because no matter what age..
girls just wanna have fun!
And as my great-great niece, Princess Lyla will tell you -

Hi Trish! I was hoping you'd put more photos of the antique shop up! Reminds me of a place I was at when visiting fellow blogger and antique dealer Jillian of Bella Roses Antiques in Pennsylvania - LOVE all the china lovelies - but not to be compared to your "wise monkeys" - too sweet!
