I sweep and wash the dishes,
I hang clothes on the line.I iron the shirts and blouses,...
I make the windows shine.
I cook the breakfasts,suppers,
I spread the beds each day.
I sew on hooks and buttons,
Put coats and toys away.
I hear the children's lessons
And give their nightly bath.
I listen to their blessings,
And tuck them into bed.
I know my tasks are humble
As each day I plod,
But I know they have beauty
Within the sight of God.

Wow - I've never heard this poem but absolutely love it. Thank you - sometimes we need reminding as house wives that what we do does make a difference. J9 x
ReplyDeleteKnowing how important it is to have our focus on our tasks...it gives us purpose to worship Him in the doing.
