The Return of the Magnolia

After the disappointment of having our lovely magnolia buds eaten by some creature in early Spring...we had the joy of seeing new flowers bud and blossom in late Summer!
This is a Star Wars Magnolia and has the largest flowers of all magnolia trees. We planted it close to the house so its pretty pink blooms would be visible from indoors where we sit and eat.
Finally, we are getting to enjoy it in all it's glory from our dining room window..just as we planned!

  2. So lovely! The flowers are so huge! Wish we could share a cup of tea with our rose tea cups. I have some that were my grandma's. Hope you are painting!

  3. Those are so pretty. The same thing happened to my magnolia last spring ~ bugs ate the blossoms. :-( Maybe I'll see some pretty blossoms this year. ♥
