The dragonfly caught his eye just as the axe was to plummet into the wood..
splitting his attention instead
mesmerised by gossamer wings reflecting blue sky he rushed indoors for the camera
marveling at the stained glass of the delicate wings
we looked at it for a very long time..
and we saw
that which seemed dry and dead was simply a resting place for
life
Thanking Father for
111. the wood of Redemption
112. new life in Him
113. the Rest that he promises to be for those who love Him
114. family gathered around the wood of my table again
115. sons and their music filling the air once more while reunion takes place
116. laughter..just silly 'joy about nothing in particular' laughter that needs no explanation
117. blue sky after snow
118. time..to be together
119. a son cooking Shepherd's Pie tonight for his parents
120. grace..always for grace..before and after..everything!

Achingly beautiful words.
Words I need to hear.
Thank you for sharing your lovely list :)
Trish,
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading your list of the things that you are thankful for. It reminds me that I need to do the same thing - be thankful for the "every day" things in life.
Blessings,
-Lady Rose
