The Simple Woman's Daybook #1

This is my first journal entry for the Daybook:

Outside my window...the sky is a lovely Spring blue and birds are busily fluttering past the pink camelias and rhodos

I am thinking...it should be a pleasant day to be outside. I will enjoy going out with my husband and sons for lunch today!
I am thankful for...my family (eldest son is home for a visit)
From the kitchen...possibly making chicken and matza ball soup for tonight
I am wearing...warm house-gown and boots-mornings are a little chilly still
I am creating... memories with my boys, excitement about my new laptop

I am going...to miss my son when he leaves us tomorrow..18 months between visits is far too long for me :-(
I am reading... Passionate Housewives Desperate for God with my ladies group -but not tonight
I am hoping...today goes very slowly so it will seem I've had longer with my son
I am hearing...birds calling, computer whirring, my breathing
Around the house...I am the only one awake-husband and son are still dreaming
One of my favorite things...reading Victoria magazine while having a loooog hot bath :-)
A few plans for the rest of the week: try not to fall apart saying goodbyes tomorrow, get outdoors and use up some energy in the garden, catch up on housework, read the new Victoria magazine

Here is a picture for thought I am sharing...it will be some time before I hear our sons playing music together like this again. It's one of the things I miss most, now that they have both moved out into their own places.
