L.A.C.E.~The Silence of Love and Prayer

Loving is praying.
If I seek in prayer the good of my fellow creature, and then go and try to promote it, I am practically praying for his good in my actions.
If I seek, as I should do, God's glory above everything, then if all my actions are meant to tend to God's glory, I am continuing to pray, though I may not be praying with my thoughts or with my lips.
Oh, that our whole life might be a prayer.
It can be.
There can be a praying without ceasing before the Lord, though there be many pausings in what the most of men would call prayer.
Pray then without ceasing, my brother.
Let thy whole life be praying.
If thou changest the method, yet change not the pursuit; but continue still to worship, still to adore.
—never altogether abandon prayer; do not suspend the regular offering of prayer; be much in earnest prayer, be always in the spirit of prayer, and let the whole of your life be consistent with your prayer, and become a part of it.
Charles Haddon Spurgeon
The fruit of silence is prayer,
the fruit of prayer is faith,
the fruit of faith is love,
the fruit of love is service,
the fruit of service is peace
Mother Teresa

Dear friends,
In the silence of our inmost being..we find the voice of unceasing prayer.
In becoming part of our prayer.. we find deeper life and the truest love for God and for others.
Even in the midst of the busy-ness of daily life.. as we go about keeping our homes and tending our precious families and whatever sundry responsibilities that are ours; we can journey deep within and meet the Lord Who is always waiting to join us in loving, fervent prayer.
It is His Spirit Who gives the call and fans the wind beneath the wings of our petitions..sending them soaring into the Father's Heart.
Never shun the silence of inner stillness..seek it out and enter into it, regardless of the noise and activity that surrounds you.
For in this way ..in the midst of the mundane rut or frenetic pace of daily living.. you will encounter the peace of God!
with love in Jesus' Name..Trish

  3. Hi Trish, what a lovely post about prayer and the need to be still. We live in such a hectic noisy world that competes with our will to spend time in prayer. That's something I need to work on. I did link up with you today too!

  7. Trish,

I just read your comment about how you lost Mr. Pickles. :( I am sad. He was such a cute little bird. How long did you have him? Sigh!

Anyway, I hope that you are not feeling too bad about loosing your "little gentleman."

    Blessings,

    -L. Rose
