Take a pretty blue and white cup and saucer
and select a favourite Victoria magazine and a sachet of hazelnut-hot chocolate.
Mix the chocolate powder with boiling water and stir
and place two Monte Carlo biscuits on your saucer.
Set everything down on your coffee table in front of a comfortable sofa
and take a moment to look around the room,
giving thanks to the Lord for the roof over your head and the love in your home.
Then sit back, relax.. and enjoy the simple blessings of your day!

Today I'm having my morning tea with these lovely ladies:
Sandi at Rose Chintz Cottage
Kathy at A Delightsome Life
This is such a sweet post...hot chocolate for one. And why not make it special even if you are just one!!
ReplyDeleteHow very delightful! I wish I could join you.
ReplyDeleteI love hot chocolate and had one at lunch time with a friend (it was her birthday). I bought Chai chocolate tea on the weekend and when made with milk tastes like chocolate and spices which is so nice for a winters evening.
ReplyDeleteYum! love it!
ReplyDeleteHot chocolate is the nicest treat here in the cottage....we make it in the winter and enjoy it thoroughly :-D

You make it sound so appealing, calm and comfortable. Hope you enjoyed your hot chocolate for one.
ReplyDeleteGood morning Trish,
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet post and good advice too! It only takes a moment to give thanks and draw near to our Creator. Thank you for sharing and I will add your LACE party to my list. Phil. 4:8 has long been one of my favourite scriptures. Enjoy your day.
Blessings,
Sandi
You make that cup of chocolate look delicious!
ReplyDeleteI have to remember to take the time for tea or cocoa and have a quiet time. It sounds sooooo lovely, thank you for the reminder. ((hugs))
ReplyDeleteBlessings!

ReplyDeleteWhat a perfectly delightful post! You have a way of elevating the simple, everyday things of life and making them so special. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteLooks lovely. Doesn't tea and chocolate taste better when using a favorite cup and saucer? :-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
This is lovely and I agree things taste better out of a lovely cup! I invite You to Tea Party Tuesday Link up over at Sweetology http://sweetology101.blogspot.com/2011/05/tea-party-tuesday-first-offical-link-up.html - would be GREAT to have tea with you!
ReplyDeleteGreat post. We all need to take a few minutes every day to enjoy and appreciate our surroundings.
ReplyDeleteTrish - why must you tease me so? Hazelnut hot cocoa and chocolatey cookies = heaven! :-) I love how you relax! :-) You inspire me!
ReplyDeleteTrish,
ReplyDeleteI LOVED this post! That's the same way I make hot cocoa, except I don't have Hazel nut. I just have plain ole dark chocolate, but it's still good. I had some this morning. :)
Blessings,
-L. Rose
P.S. We seem to be kindred spirits, as we seem to think alike. I like that! :)
Oh such a blessing to have you join A Return to Loveliness - your blog so touches my heart - love your blue and white teacup - the chocolate - thank God for that - and Victoria - a definite gift to women to remind us of the fine art of being a woman and homemaking. You are a blessing,
ReplyDeleteKathy
