Do you see what I see?
When I look into the full cradle of our garlic I see the promise of good things to come!
I see a thin veil giving way under pressure to finally set all the tantalising blessings free.
I see a gourmet galaxy of flavour about to burst upon our plates!
I see embrionic suns of tomatoes proclaiming their intention to marry in the pot.
And I see pungent herbs raising their hands in celebration of the feast to come!
Ahh..this bountiful scene of living goodness fills me with a simple joy today :-)
I love watching our garden produce food that is healthy and organically grown by my hubby and me.
We are on a journey to learn how be more environmentally responsible and "self-sufficient", while acknowledging the fact that all our suffiency is to be found in God's gracious provision!
We are trying to be good stewards and live a lot more simply these days!!
Growing food in our small backyard is one way we hope to experience the simplicity we long for.
It's a learning curve for us and one that we are truly enjoying and reaping wonderful rewards from - we have discovered that it really is simply sweet to cook and eat delicious things you've grown at home!
What sweet things have been happening in your home lately?

I love to bring in my vegetables from the garden and know that no chemicals have been used on or near them - and they look lovely and blemish free.
ReplyDeleteA 'Simply Sweet' post, Trish! A very nice meme to share our home and garden as well as spiritual thoughts. Thank you for hosting and I wish you a most delightful day.

"I see embrionic suns of tomatoes proclaiming their intention to marry in the pot". You have such a wonderful way with words! I am still trying to learn how to garden in the desert?? Hopefully I will get at my new herb garden when the weather warms. What joy there is in having wonderful herbs to use for cooking right in your back yard!
