Violet - holder!

Yesterday when I went outside to hang out my washing,
I was delighted to find a pretty patch of violets blooming in my backyard!

They are one of my favourite flowers and I love their fragrance,
so I gathered together a sweet-smelling bunch for the house.

I searched high and low for my smallest vase to put them into but couldn't find it :-(
A last, I spied my little white tinware candleholder,
and instantly transformed it into a makeshift vase for my violets.
Aha! it's just the right size!
I think it looks perfectly lovely, too!

What do you think?

  1. I think they are just perfect. I did the very same thing today and picked a little bunch and created a little vignette to post later too. Great minds think alike. I think because we both live in Australia might have something to do with it. The violets blooming now in winter.xx

  2. Beautiful display. Sometimes neat containers are as much fun as the pretty flowers we put in them!
