"As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease." Genesis 8:22
Hello friends, sorry I am running so far behind with the link-up this week.
I've been busy trying to get a few projects done at home and I've been helping my hubby with some much needed yardwork.
Last Saturday was his birthday and one of the thoughtful presents he received was a gift card to be used at a local hardware store.
So..on Sunday he couldn't wait to use it to buy paint for our metal garden shed :-)
What a difference a coat of paint can make!
We love the deep new colour and now the shed is not nearly so much of an eyesore as it was before, lol!
Renovating a garden in Summer is hot and heavy work.
We are in the "summer storm" season here in Australia, and this past week the temperature has climbed sky-high and brought on the dreaded electrical storms and strong winds :-(
Last night's heavy dumping of rain and hail and severe wind ravished our poor struggling garden, and sent baby peaches flying off the branches and fairly flattened all my lamb's ears!
The thunder and lightning persisted into the wee hours this morning, and I had quite a lot of cleaning up to do in the backyard today.
Right now we are having the worst heatwave we've had for many years and our grass is withering up before our eyes!
It's very draining on the body and mind too and I am really feeling it's effects this time :-(
Nevertheless..I'm still trying to keep busy, and seeing all the wonderful things you lovely ladies are doing to prepare for Christmas has helped to get me motivated to start putting out some decorations too.
This year I think we'll go for a more 'Scandinavian' look and perhaps that will help us feel a bit cooler, lol!
Hope your week is going well for you all.
blessings..Trish

You can't beat paint to freshen up an item or room. We are finally cooling off her in So. California.
