A good day for hopping!

It's been such a cold grey drizzly winter's day here...
I've hardly moved away from the woodfire.
A day nothing like the warm summery day I enjoyed not too long ago in my kitchen
when I preserved our homegrown peaches!

Peel and slice peaches
place in pan with a little sugar and barely cover with water
simmer until just cooked
store in a well-sealed sterilised bottle
use as pie filling or simply eat with icecream.

Sooo.. I thought I'd cheer myself up with some colourful summer fruity recipes to drool over, lol!

This is a blog hop from Gooseberry Patch:

Lots of yummy reading for a chilly winter's day :-)

  7. That looks so wonderful. My husband loves peaches and I made him peach jam last year. That is very hard to get here, so I think I will be making that this year too ; )
    Have a great day.

  8. Wow Trish, alot of recipes on your post! I think sometime I will try the Vietnamese Rolls.

Your peaches look good canned. I think that might be the one thing I do process this summer.

Are you still having cold weather?
It is fun to see your seasons for me to look ahead!
