It's been such a cold grey drizzly winter's day here...
I've hardly moved away from the woodfire.
A day nothing like the warm summery day I enjoyed not too long ago in my kitchen
when I preserved our homegrown peaches!
Peel and slice peaches
place in pan with a little sugar and barely cover with water
simmer until just cooked
store in a well-sealed sterilised bottle
use as pie filling or simply eat with icecream.
