Friends, I have a prayer request...
The step-mother of my closest friend is once again close to passing away, and I would be so grateful if you would remember her in your prayers.
Betty has been diagnosed with cancer in her bile ducts and although she has received some medical help there is now no more treatment or surgery that can be done for her.
She took very ill again recently and her family have been called to say their farewells to her.
She loves our blessed Lord with all her heart and is not afraid of going to meet Him..but grieving because she will not see her grandchildren grown and married.
Her husband went to be with Jesus just last October.
My dear friend Janelle and her children are with their beloved Mum and Nanna who was put in the Pallitive Care ward 3 weeks ago and not expected to last as uncontrollable infection had taken hold of her weak body.
But God..intervened and she was able to leave hospital and be admitted to a nursing home where her family could be with her.
They are at her bedside waiting for the Lord to come and call her Home.
After 20 years together, Janelle is more than a just a good friend to me, she is my true "little sister in the Lord" and my heart is really aching for her.
She had to nurse her own mother through kidney cancer and lost her when she was only 14 years old, and has been a rock for her father who suffered 5 years of heart attacks and strokes which gave him dementia and put him in a nursing home where he slowly passed away last year.
And now her step-mum is succumbing to this aggressive cancer and will soon see Jesus.
Janelle loves and adores the Lord and is the the most tender person I know..always doing for others and helping whoever she can..a big-hearted soul if ever there was one!
Please pray for her and the family as they go through this difficult time of saying goodbye to their beloved Betty.

Such a difficult time. My daughter is a nurse with hospice and I consider her an angel as she works with folks as they leave this earth. Praying for your friends.
ReplyDeleteTrish, I'm so sorry about your friend's step-mom. I can't imagine who difficult this must be for everyone. I pray that God's will and His peace touches everyone.

My Mom is slowing dying of a lung desease and never smoked a day in here life so I'm watching her slowly die.. trying to be strong and ask our heavely father for patience and endurance..I wish them all peace in their hearts and calmness..
