Simple Pleasures

After we left the churches on the hill last Sunday, we wandered down through the village and stopped to have lunch on the back verandah of an historic building. The old fashioned country garden was delightful and fragrant and made us linger amongst the lavendars and 'granny's bonnets'. After eating a delicious meal, we browsed through the antique and collectibles shop attached to the cafe and I bought an elephant shaped teapot for a gift for my son, who loves the creatures and has a growing 'elephant collection'. We had such a nice, relaxing day full of pleasant scenes and scents in this sleepy stone village.
Old churches, good food, antiques and flowers...it was definitely pure pleasure to us!

  6. Such beauty! I want to live there :) I can imagine myself sitting with a nice cup of something & a good book, or perhaps bring my knitting along. Even better yet, spending time with my Lord in such loveliness.
