Pink Rain and Rust!

It's amazing what you come across on a quiet Sunday afternoon drive in the countryside!

I spied this bright pink Volkswagon a couple of weeks ago when hubby and I were out for a spin :-)

It was parked outside a quaint little cottage-turned-local museum/art gallery in a nearby village to us.

I had to laugh at that green umbrella - but it was quite appropriate considering the grey drizzly day.

This cute pink "beetle" (or should that be ladybug?!) brightened up the afternoon for us!

Just up the street from the beetle, we found yet more fun as we scrounged around the local junkyard.

Hubby's dream bike - score!! lol!

Complete with a basket of passengers to keep him company - don't you just love these rusty emu chicks?!!

We stopped for a quick chat with the T-Rex on guard duty who was wishing he had worn his raincoat!

But before we had time to say "play it again Sam!" the clouds opened up!
So we bid our new friends a hasty farewell and promising to return in finer weather, we rushed back to the car and headed home again.

Where we cuddled by the fireside and warmed up with one of these!!!

  2. Your husband's dream bike is little too big for him, don't you think? :) The museum you visited certainly looked like an interesting one for sure. I liked the pink beetle - very unusual color, indeed! :)

  8. We've had a red and a blue bug over the years. I love the pink one, it was really fun driving it and I think it would be trifty with todays gas prices. I always like metal art like these, the chicks are so funny.

My father had a red 1963 convertible bug and drove it all around the lake island where I grew up, we were quite fond of that car! but this pink one is GREAT- I love that pink!!!!
