Heart & Home link-up..Some days are like that

Some days.. you just want to stay quietly at home,
happy to be wrapped up by your cosy familiar surroundings.

Some days.. you look around your home with more contented eyes
because you see just how beautiful an ordinary day can be.

Some days.. you simply decide to quit fighting all your shadows
and choose to dance in the light instead.

Some days.. you find illumination on a situation that has troubled you,
and suddenly everything seems brighter again.

Some days are like that...
Suddenly, we are overwhelmed by the grace of Christ
and the peace of His Spirit settles like a balm upon our hearts.
Burdens are lifted..hope is restored..new strength is given
and our eyes are open wide again to the beauty of life and all it holds for us.

My dear friends, I pray that today will be just such a day.. for you!

  1. Trish - you've been a comfort to me this morning. We have another storm whipping us today - this time with some snow - and I'm hunkered down with after election thoughts of how important home and refuge is. Thankfully, ultimately, the Lord is my refuge - my home. The future is not looking so bright for us yanks today. But, in Christ - ALL things become light - and will be made light. Tea sounds nice - didn't get my tea post up this week or I'd link in. If I can do one today, I will.
    Joy!

  2. Good morning Trish,
    I enjoyed your photos.
Some days are harder than others when going through a trial. But when we look to the Lord for strength and guidance, He somehow enables us to endure and even glean some happy moments through it all. Philipians 4:8 is a verse I meditate on when such things come my way. Through Him, I can do all things and bare all things. Praise Him!
Thank you for sharing and have a happy day, my friend.

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  3. Your post was just what I needed to read this mornig. Especially at the end when you said, "The peace of His Spirit settles like a balm upon our hearts. Burdens are lifted..hope is restored..new strength is given." Thank you so much for sharing these words. I will think upon them today. Blessings to your, my dear friend!

    Hugs,

  7. Trish: This is a lovely post. My husband and I were just talking about this very same thing earlier today. It is cold and raining outside, waiting for snow, so we just sat in front of the TV and didn't feel a bit guilty..Thanks for your kind words to me. I appreciate it very much..Happy Thursday..Judy

  8. That bread looks good so does dinner, most days I'm happy to be home not to much adventure in my life now, I like to potter around and my home feels a bit like a warm blanket.

  9. Good morning, Trish! What lovely photos. I'm especial drawn to the red transferware and the bread. That right there would make a lovely tea. Have a blessed day.
